Work Resumes on the Transformation of Lilian Ngoyi Street

The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) confirms that full-scale rehabilitation work has resumed on Phase 2 of the Lilian Ngoyi Street Rehabilitation Project, following the resolution of recent operational cash-flow constraints.

With payments now finalised and the contractor back in full momentum on site, the project has reached an impressive 72% completion. This means the long-awaited transformation of one of Johannesburg’s key streets is moving forward once again, bringing the City closer to delivering a safer, more functional and revitalised Lilian Ngoyi Street.
