Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Mr Jackie Macie, and the Provincial Commissioner of SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Apaphia Modise, will release the crime statistics for the first quarter of the 2026/2027 financial year.
While reflecting on crime trends and presenting the statistics, the MEC and the Provincial Commissioner will also outline plans to address and stabilise crime in the province. They will further highlight areas where the province has recorded a reduction in crime.
Members of the media will have an opportunity to interact with the MEC and the Provincial Commissioner during a media briefing, which has been arranged as follows:
