Missing Free State police constable found safe and unharmed

A 23-year-old Free State police constable who was reported missing earlier this week has been found safe and unharmed, police confirmed on Thursday.

Constable Mpho Sehloho, attached to the Parkroad Detectives, was reported missing after she left her residence in Rocklands, Mangaung, on Monday.

Free State police launched an appeal for information to help establish her whereabouts.

According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), information provided by members of the public assisted in efforts to locate Sehloho.

“Constable Sehloho has been located and is safe and unharmed,” police said.

The Free State SAPS thanked members of the community and the media for helping circulate the missing-person appeal and providing information to investigators.

Police also thanked SAPS members and other role players who participated in the search.

SAPS said it would respect Sehloho and her family’s privacy as they deal with the matter.
