JMPD K9 OFFICERS ARREST SUSPECT AFTER TIP-OFF IN ZOLA NORTH

A suspect has been arrested in Zola North, Soweto, after JMPD K9 officers acted on an anonymous tip-off about suspicious activities in the area.

According to JMPD, officers arrived at the scene while on patrol and encountered a suspect who allegedly attempted to flee. He was apprehended and searched.

During the search, officers reportedly recovered a pouch from his pocket containing a substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine.

The suspect was arrested for possession of an illegal substance and detained at Jabulani SAPS.

JMPD K9 officers have arrested a suspect in Zola North, Soweto, following an anonymous tip-off about suspicious activities in the area.

According to the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD), officers were on patrol when they responded to the information and encountered a suspect who allegedly attempted to flee.

The officers apprehended the suspect and conducted a search.

Police reportedly recovered a pouch from the suspect’s pocket containing a substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine.

The suspect was arrested for possession of an illegal substance and detained at Jabulani SAPS.

The substance is expected to undergo further testing as part of the investigation.
