Hawks seek public help to trace persons of interest in Krugersdorp cash van robbery

The Hawks in Gauteng are appealing to the public for information that could help them trace persons of interest linked to the armed robbery of an IZI Cash security van in Krugersdorp last year.

The robbery took place on 20 October 2025 after IZI Cash security guards had collected money from a bottle store in Krugersdorp.

According to the Hawks, the guards were approaching their cash van when they were confronted by several armed suspects.

The suspects allegedly held the guards at gunpoint and robbed them of an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene in a white Mercedes-Benz fitted with false licence plates.

The Hawks have released photographs of persons of interest as part of their efforts to identify and locate those allegedly involved in the robbery.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts, or any information that could assist the investigation, is urged to contact investigating officer Detective Constable Sbongiseni Sithole on 060 658 6743.

The Hawks said all information received would be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
