Kaizer Chiefs warns public about fraudulent soccer trials

Kaizer Chiefs has warned the public about fraudulent soccer trials being advertised by people pretending to be the club’s development coaches.
The club said it had been alerted to scams in which members of the public are offered so-called Kaizer Chiefs trials in exchange for payment.
Chiefs said it had not issued any official communication or advertisement regarding trials or academies.
The club is investigating the matter and said it would involve law enforcement agencies to take the necessary action against those responsible.
The warning comes ahead of the school holiday period, when the club expects scammers to target aspiring young footballers and their families.
Kaizer Chiefs urged the public not to fall victim to the scams, stressing that any legitimate trials would be communicated through the club’s official channels.
Anyone with questions about trials or academies can contact the club via info@kaizerchiefs.com or 011 941 1465.
