Routine road maintenance under way on Frikkie Meyer Boulevard

Emfuleni Local Municipality has advised motorists to expect delays along Frikkie Meyer Boulevard as routine road maintenance gets under way.

The maintenance is being carried out on the section of Frikkie Meyer Boulevard between Jan van Riebeeck Boulevard and Barrage Road.

Executive Mayor Hassan Mako urged motorists to exercise caution when travelling through the affected area and to reduce their speed to protect municipal maintenance teams and other road users.

“Motorists are urged to drive with caution and reduce their speed in the interests of the safety of our maintenance teams and fellow road users,” said Mako.

The municipality thanked residents and road users for their patience and cooperation while the maintenance work is under way.
