Pirates wallop Kruger United

Orlando Pirates produced a dominant display to secure a convincing 4-0 victory over Kruger United in their Betway Premiership clash at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Buccaneers made the perfect start when Ghampani Lungu converted a fourth-minute penalty to put the visitors ahead. Pirates continued to control proceedings and created several opportunities as Kruger struggled to contain their attacking threat.

Pirates doubled their advantage shortly after the interval, with Boitumelo Radiopane finding the net in the 54th minute following an assist from Oswin Appollis.

Substitute Yanela Mbuthuma then put the result beyond doubt, scoring twice in the closing stages. His first came in the 79th minute, before he completed his brace in stoppage time to seal a comprehensive victory.

The win strengthened Pirates' position at the top of the Premiership standings, while Kruger were left searching for answers after another difficult outing.
