Mayor Mako receives refurbished Tlhokomelong Clinic

Residents of Small Farm will have improved access to healthcare following the official handover of the refurbished and expanded Tlhokomelong Clinic on Friday.

Mineral and Petroleum Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe officially handed over the facility, with Emfuleni executive mayor Hassan Mako receiving the upgraded clinic on behalf of the municipality and its residents.

The renovation and extension of the clinic were undertaken by the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources and Seriti Power as part of their commitment to supporting communities in areas where they operate.

The upgraded facility is expected to improve healthcare infrastructure and access to services for residents of Small Farm and surrounding communities.

The handover ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Gauteng Health MEC Faith Mazibuko, Seriti Resources group chief executive officer Mike Teke and Sedibeng District Municipality executive mayor Lerato Maloka.

The project represents an investment in healthcare infrastructure aimed at ensuring residents have access to improved healthcare facilities closer to home.
